An article on the “Google Dance” at evolt.org. The google dance is apparently the 2 or 3 day index update period for the google index.

asp PIM applications

Thursday, May 1st, 2003

I have downloaded two ASP PIM applications, a contact manager and a calendar, from Ocean 12 Script Center. There are free and paid versions, but the free version seems to contain everything I need for personal use. I was going to write some from scratch, but it looks like I have just saved myself some hard work.

One annoyance I have noticed so far is the telephone number format is incompatible with uk format as they have to be split up into groups of 3. Wont take long to customise that though :-)

Update: Also just noticed that the date format is incompatible too - if you enter an event as may 2 2003 on a server set to UK date, it gets recorded as feb 5 2003 - should only need a minor modification

I also have plans to customise it to be able to mark yearly events such as birthdays and create printable lists of “To Do” tasks etc.

time to sit up straight

I’ve always been a sloucher. I’m fast approaching 30 and have a well developed slouch. When I stand or sit with a correct posture it feels like im falling over backwards. So starting today I am going to stop slouching so I dont look like the hunchback of notre dame by the time i’m 35.
